About The Book:

"You are in real, real danger." - A school teacher gets a creepy warning in his mailbox. Seven days later, he murders eleven of his students. Two months later, he is gunned down in broad daylight by an obscure militant outfit. Justice served. The nation pacified. Case closed.

But not for two crime reporters. Seeking redemption through this case are Prakash and Seema, ace journalists but broken individuals. As they follow the story, they are led to the ominous wilds of Bandhavgarh where an eerily similar massacre had occurred eight years ago. Little do they know that they have stirred up a hornet's nest.
One by one their leads start turning up in body bags and they are chased by assassins at every corner. A 'bloody good brutal story' is one that sets the pulse racing and the senses tingling. The listener/ reader gets goosebumps and develops cold feet at times. He/she is so involved in the story that he/she sees the story unfold before his/ her eyes i.e. he or she literally lives the story and is kept on tenterhooks till the very end. He/she is kept guessing till the climax and when it i.e. the climax unfolds, it comes as a shock . When I say 'shock' I mean the reader/ listener should be forced to say, 'Oh, no! It can't be.'

A bloody good brutal story is such we're you can't predict the outcome, each character sims suspect to the readers. Even hero sims zero sometimes and zero becomes the hero.I still remember that bollywood movie '36 China town', there was a good suspense in the movie. Suspense thriller is the genere where authors creativity is shows.

  4. A bloody good brutal story for me would involve a lot of murder and blood shed which would seem to have obvious reasons and suspects but when the story actually ends, the actual motive and/or the suspect would not be the same as what was perceived all along. Deception is one crucial element that I personally look for in stories of this genre. Though a story of this kind would seem boring initially but as towards the end, it would simply shock people out. May be something along the lines of Game of Thrones (Sans all that explicit sexual content?)

For Me a ' Bloody Good Brutal Story ' is a page turner which holds action-packed lines spewing the murder conspiracies which simply let my grey cells sprint with speed of sound . Being associated with defense readings , it should surely be embedded with assassination of one or another political leader , scrambling the jets and initiating protocols leading to reading something which left me with a feeling to stay alone for a day after wrapping the book to let my brain completely absorb what I'd read . And out of all the best is when the author leave loopholes in his writings which are supposed to be filled by reader causing the natural processor ( Brain ) to excavate the true cause of the plot but end turned out to be entirely different .

A story packed with nail biting, on the edge plot which let's reader to imagine the scene but never letting the suspense out till the last page. Relatable characters and lucid language is a must as it helps reader to tread along the same lines of the story. The book should be packed with interesting twists and turns letting the reader play the guessing game. Also if beans are spilled, the book should have us captivated to know the back story and it speaks volume of the author's creativity and very few can pull this off. All of this defines a Bloody Good Brutal Story.

Bloody brutal things are all around us 24/7 and we choose the route of escapism by blindfolding ourselves conveniently. Although I'm not a big fan of this genre 'on paper', I enjoy tv-series based on the same. What I feel, most of us look for bloody brutal stuffs like gushing blood, dropping down of beheaded bodies and cold blooded stabbings etc only when the plot is well defined and advance to a bigger goal than portrayal of mere bloodbath. After countless deaths and acts of savages the future must be an improved version of the past, i.e. there should be some positive note at the end, something that would make the read purposeful from a reader's viewpoint. That's what in combination with a well structured narration makes a bloody brutal story 'good' :-)

  10. For me the brutal story mustn't be just all red. It should contain more genres which should be imbibed around the suspense, which the main plot generates. Brutality all alone can make a reader dull but if it has the power to hold what the reader likes then everything can work out in the most perfect manner. Sub-plots and interconnected bonds could make the brutality shine brightly.

The Story And The Plot Must Be Mind-Freaking One. By The Time You End Up Reading The Novel, Your Freaking Mind Should Utter "Holy Shit". It Must Full Of Actions And Suspense In Every Chapter So Much So That One Will Finish Reading The Story At Once Without A Break.
Even If It Is A Non Fiction, It Must Sound Like A Fiction.

  13. For me A "Bloody Good Brutal Story" should first start with a sweet & simple storyline but with a twisted side to it. Mysterious & suspenseful homicides with different innovative methods which would just blow anyone's mind. Just like the protagonist of 'Dexter' tv series, cold yet interesting ways of murders would intrigue anyone. While everyone hopes for a happy ending I prefer for an ending where the end takes a u-turn from a happy ending which would truly make it a bloody good brutal story.

My idea of a 'Bloody Good Brutal Story' is the one which can even get a person disinterested in that particular genre, involved in the story and relate to the characters.
Brutal Story does not necessarily have to involve murders and killings. Even an evil vibe of the story if conveyed properly will make a Bloody Good Brutal Story.
I personally never enjoyed Brutal stories. However, there have been certain brutal articles, incidents etc that I've read or heard of, which got me really engaged in it. That's what is a Bloody Good Brutal Story.
Sometimes, your heart settles for such stories which connect to you and make you realize what the characters have been enduring in the book. That's mt idea of a Bloody Good Brutal Story.

In my opinion 'Bloody Good Brutal Story' means Unsolved serial killing mystery where everyone killed in sleep. so they cannot save himself and a very very smart killer. so no one cam catch him. in last the killer hanged himself as he killed own daughter by mistake.
